Decision:

To grant a wayleave to BT for 1 joint box and the laying of 41 metres duct with cable in footpath at Tower Meadows, Swaffham to enable a new line to an industrial unit.

The unit is already occupied and unable to conduct business without the telephone line and associated services.

The District Valuer valued the Wayleave at £2000 + VAT. £586.21 of which will be paid by BT and the remainder by the owner of the unit.  The wayleave will not be issued until the payment has been made from the owner of the unit.

To release funding to the following Match Funding applicants:

 

·        North Elmham King’s Head Bowls Club £2,175 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to replace the pavilion.

 

·        The aboutDereham Partnership £750 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to commission, design and print a new marketing leaflet/tourism brochure for Dereham.

 

·        Club 99 £1,800 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to support the cost of providing 1:1 support for children attending the summer play scheme who have specific needs.

 

·        Old Buckenham Village Hall £4,583 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to upgrade the female toilet and the unisex accessible toilet.

 

·        Great Cressingham Parish Council £524 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to install two notice boards in the village to publicise village information, events and activities.

 

·        The Eastern Area British Judo Association £208 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to upgrade the electronic scoring system to comply with national standards.

 

·        1st Attleborough Scouts £1,421 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to replace fluorescent lighting with LED lights.

 

·        Dereham Theatre Company £3,390 (or 20% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to carry out improvements to its building.

 

·        Thetford U3A £3,145 (or 50% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to produce and distribute a booklet called ‘Our Beautiful Thetford’.

 

·        Longham Village Hall £5,000 (or 35% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to refurbish the football pitch.

 

·        Tittleshall Village Hall £5,000 (or 29% of the total project cost, whichever is the lower amount) to renew the village hall roof.

 

Total Funding £27,996.
