To grant a retrospective licence to Norfolk County Council

Decision Maker: Executive Director Commercialisation (S151 Officer)

Decision published: 05/08/2019

Effective from: 01/08/2019

Decision:

To grant a retrospective licence to Norfolk County Council to erect Speed Camera equipment and associated cabling to make the roadways safer in Bury Road, Thetford. The equipment was erected by Norfolk County Council without permission as they believed this was their land.  When NCC approached Breckland Council to cut back some trees it was discovered that the land was actually owned by Breckland Council.

A licence needs to be put in place to formalise the placement of the equipment and to ensure that NCC asks for permission and agree to pay for the pruning of the trees (if required).

The licence fee is £500.
