The Licensing Sub-Committee (“the Committee”) granted the application for the Premises Licence as requested subject to the amendments proposed by the Applicant:

1)    That any music at any event will finish at 2230 hours.

2)    The number of events allowed to take place within the annual period for when licensable activities are permitted by this licence shall be limited to 2 ‘one day’ events only. Written notification of these events taking place will be given to the Licensing Authority and Swanton Morley Parish Council no less than 21 days prior to an event going ahead.

Reason for the Decision

The Committee heard representations from Members of the Public, Parish Council and Local retailer.  The Committee felt that the reduced timetable of events and the Event Management Plan (EMP) were sufficient to allay any concerns raised.  The Committee believed that the application promoted the Licensing Objectives.
