Consultation process

The Housing Act 2004 Pat 2 introduced measures to licence houses in multiple occupation (HMOs).  Before making a designation the Local Housing Authority must take reasonable steps to consult persons who are likely to be affected.  Breckland Council intends to apply to the Secretary of State to have an additional licensing scheme and the proposal is in accordance with the Council’s Housing Strategy.
