Keith Gilbert was aware of the first applicant but did not know him well.

 

Sarah Wolstenholme-Smy declared that although she shares a name with the first applicant she is no relation.

Exclusion of Press and Public

To consider passing the following resolution.

 

“That under Section 100 (A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the press and the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A to the Act.”

 

Part B – Item from which the press and the public are excluded.

 

Minutes:

RESOLVED that under Section 100(A) (4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Schedule 12A to the Act.

Application for a Hackney Carriage /Private Hire Drivers Licence

The Licensing Officer presented the report in respect of the application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Drivers Licence.

 

The Applicant gave an explanation of the circumstances surrounding the matter referred to and the Members asked the applicant questions.

 

The Applicant and the Licensing Officer left the room whilst the panel made their determination. They were invited back to hear the decision.

 

 

Resolved that:

 

The Panel grant the licence.

Consideration of the suspension / revocation of a Hackney Carriage / Private Hire drivers licence

The Licensing Officer presented the report in respect of consideration of the suspension / revocation of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers Licence.

 

The Licence Holder gave an explanation of the circumstances surrounding the matters referred to and the Members asked the applicant questions.

 

The Solicitor summed up the representations and information for the Panel to consider.

 

The Licence Holder and the Licensing Officer left the room whilst the panel made their determination. They were invited back to hear the decision.

 

 

Resolved that:

 

The Panel deemed the Licence Holder remained a fit and proper person and took no further action.
