Purpose:
To present the draft of the Council’s
Equality and Diversity policy to the Overview and Scrutiny
Commission for review.
Decision:
The Equality and Diversity Policy be adopted.
Reasons for the decision:
The current adopted policy was 4-years old and due for a review. Whilst there had not been any fundamental changes to statutory requirements, the new policy has been improved for the benefit of all those engaging with the Council.
Alternative options considered:
1. To adopt the revised policy.
2. Do nothing.
